FAQs

  • What does the evaluation process entail?
•A parent intake is conducted virtually, usually several weeks prior to testing, to gather your child/adolescent’s developmental history and understand the current concerns • The testing appointment is in-person as Dr. Hahn does not offer virtual testing. The evaluation consists of a comprehensive assessment of cognitive functions, academic achievement, and emotional/personality/behavioral functioning and an interview with the patient. For most patients, the testing requires approximately 6 hours which includes brain breaks as well as a lunch break. •Questionnaires are emailed to parents and teachers (when appropriate) to gather additional information regarding the individual’s functioning
  • Does Neuropsychology Specialists accept insurance for payment?
Dr. Hahn is considered an “out-of-network” provider because she is not a member of any insurance plans. She will work with you to complete the pre-authorization process if your insurance company requires such filing. Dr. Hahn will provide you with the appropriate codes so you may contact your insurance company and inquire about their reimbursement schedule for the evaluation. You are responsible for filing the claim. The fee for the parent intake is due the day of the appointment and the remaining balance is collected the day of testing. Neuropsychology Specialists accepts cash, check and credit cards.
  • How do I schedule an appointment?
Please call the office at 973-620-7291. When working with a patient, I am unable to answer the phone. Kindly leave a message and I will return your call as soon as possible. The initial phone consultation is free of charge and usually requires 10 minutes to review your child’s specific needs, schedule the appointment, and answer any questions/concerns you may have. Alternatively, if you prefer to contact the office via email (DrHahn@NeuropsychologySpecialists.com) you may do so and Dr. Hahn will then schedule the initial phone consultation.
